Utah (Balinfern Golden Laddie) is from a litter from Ch Letchworth Balintore Fern and Ch Letchworth Bellezza, and was born on 27/1/2001. At five months of age he was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Show at the Collie Rough and Smooth Club of Queensland Championship Show in June 2001. At his first show as 'Puppy' he won Best of Breed and Puppy in Group at the Ladies Kennel Club Open Show in Brisbane on 3/11/2001, and then the next day at the Beaudesert Kennel Club Championship Show won Best of Breed!
He had a great show future ahead of him, but his 'show' career and general wellbeing was unfortunately severely limited by his first owner. In late 2007 he returned home to Balinfern. He will live out his days in a far more relaxed and healthy environment in semi-retirement! He is now the happiest he has been all his life! Utah has responded so well to his new home with us that he re-entered the show ring in late 2009, some 7 years since his last show experience! In six months of infrequent showing he easiliy gained his title with numerous BEST OF BREED awards and including two RU BEST IN GROUP! Not bad for a nine year old! As long as he continues to love his show days he will continue to be shown!
